SFU’s softball team’s seven-game winning streak came to an end on the weekend.
The women suffered tough losses in their double-header against Western Oregon, losing 2-0 in the first game and 6-5 in the second.
“We were simply too tentative at the plate but give credit to the Western Oregon pitcher who kept us in check,” said head coach Mike Renney in a press release. “If anything it was a classic pitching battle and was won on a couple of defensive miscues on our part.”
The losses move the Clan to a 7-5 record in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play and 16-12 overall.
