A Burnaby-based tailor has created a tuxedo fit for the classiest of Canucks fans.
Pat Cocco of Seville Tailors said a client from Langley recently brought in a bright, patterned bolt of fabric with "special meaning" – it's resplendent with Canucks orca and stick-in-rink logo print.
The client wanted a garment made to celebrate the Canucks playoff run.
"Everybody who has seen this jacket, they go, 'Wow!'" Cocco said.
With coordinating blue satin for the lapels and a matching green pocket square and bow tie, the outfit was carefully crafted.
Cocco said he took care not to distort the fabric by not sewing front darts and centre back seam on the jacket. He used a special technique to keep the fabric's shape.
Cocco, who has been in business in Burnaby for 38 years, said he agreed not to charge for the jacket in exchange for the client donating the cost of the suit to a Canucks charity.
