Meet Ricky, a sweet and playful girl looking for her forever home.
While she can be a little shy around new people, once she bonds with you, her affectionate personality truly shines.
Ricky is a German shepherd mix, likely with a sighthound, which gives her a tall, lanky build and strong prey drive. She’s an active pup who loves to run, play and explore – so she’ll need an energetic family who can keep up!
Currently working on her basic manners, Ricky is a quick learner who loves treats, making training a breeze. She’s improving on her leash manners and knows how to sit.
While she’s excitable and may jump up when meeting new people, she’ll thrive in a calm environment that encourages positive behaviour. She’s playful and loves to wrestle, so a home with older children would be best.
Ricky is a loyal companion who will reward your patience and love with deep affection. She loves adventure, running with her toys and soaking up the sunshine. If you’re ready for a fun, energetic pup who will grow into a loving friend, Ricky is ready to meet you!
Ricky is getting spayed on Feb. 12 on the North Shore. For this reason, the shelter is prioritizing local adopters willing to drive back for her appointment (full cost covered by BC SPCA).
Drop in to meet Ricky from noon to 3 p.m. daily (except Mondays) or call shelter staff if you have any questions at 604-922-4622.
