A handful of all candidates meetings have been announced in Burnaby, leading up to the city’s municipal election.
- On Tuesday, Nov. 4, the Heights Neighbourhood Association will host a Q&A at the Gilmore Community School, located at 50 South Gilmore Ave. It will be moderated by renowned keynote speaker and Heights resident Carol Boothroyd. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the Q&A running from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
- The next night, school trustees will be at Stoney Creek Community School (2740 Beaverbrook Cres.) to field questions from parents. The meeting, hosted by the district parent advisory council (DPAC), starts at 7 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to email their questions ahead of time (you can find email info on burnabydpac.com).
- Friday, Nov. 7, is the night for the Burnaby Inter-Agency Council’s All Candidates Community Dialogue. The meeting will be held at on the third floor of the Metrotown Community Resource Centre (4460 Beresford St.) and will discuss issues relating to families, youth, seniors, women, persons with disabilities and newcomers. The dialogue runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
