Political Experience: I was elected as a school trustee of Burnaby in 2005 with TEAM Burnaby, and in 2008, I ran as an independent candidate of school trustee. In 2009, I ran as an MLA candidate of the Green Party of British Columbia. In 2011, I ran with the Burnaby Greens as a school trustee candidate.
Why are you running?
From 2010, I have been spearheading a petition drive to request the Canadian government implement a hate crime statistics act, and have been organizing multicultural forums to raise awareness of issues of our diverse society.
