The Sea to Sky Gondola has announced it's closing down for several days on account of the heat.
"Due to the extreme heat wave, Sea to Sky Gondola is currently closed for the health & safety of our guests and team members," reads an alert on the gondola's website. "We anticipate reopening on Wednesday, June 30. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."
Temperature records have been shattered two days in a row in Squamish, with a strong likelihood of it happening a third time today.
People are being advised to avoid strenuous exercise and sun exposure during the peak hours, which are expected between noon and early evening.
