A Lamborghini Aventador was caught speeding at 167 km/h near UBC in Vancouver where the highest speed limit is 80 km/h.

A Lamborghini Aventador was towed by Vancouver police after it was spotted doing 167 km/h near the University of British Columbia.

The supercar was caught speeding the evening of Sept. 13 near the Vancouver university on West 16th Avenue near Blanca Street.

In a tweet, the VPD traffic section noted after recording the car doing 167 km/h with a laser, it took two officers to get the car to stop. In an email to V.I.A. the VPD stated the driver got a $483 ticket.

Lamborghini Aventadors are one of the fastest street-legal cars on the market with top speeds of around 350 km/h. New base models of the car go for more than $450,000 with some models from the last production year (2022) going for nearly $1 million.

In the photo posted of the car being hauled away, the VPD note the photo has been blurred due to privacy concerns. That irked some people on Twitter.
