ANNE KANG, B.C. NDP
IN HER OWN WORDS
“I’m a three-term city councillor, I’ve been a Burnaby teacher 10 years, I’m a wife and a mother of two.”
WE ASKED
We asked each of the candidates four questions, with a 30-word limit on answers. Here’s what Kang said:
BIGGEST SUCCESS IN LIFE?
My biggest success has been getting elected as a city councillor three times. I am honoured by the confidence the residents of Burnaby have in me.
BIGGEST FAILURE OR REGRET IN LIFE?
My biggest regret is that I didn’t get to know my grandmother who died when I was five.
WHY I WOULD MAKE A GREAT MLA
My time on city council has taught me how government works and how to get things done. I have the experience to be a strong representative for Burnaby-Deer Lake.
FAVOURITE BOOK OR MOVIE?
Right now, my favourite book is No Laughing Matter,by former NDP MP Margaret Mitchell because she was such a trailblazer for women in politics.
