Burnaby Mayor Derek Corrigan defended his record on housing and made his case for re-election during a wide-ranging interview Monday afternoon.
The interview was broadcast live on the NOW’s Facebook page, in the second of four mayoral candidate sit downs.
Mike Hurley is next in the series, set to sit down with the NOW on Tuesday at 3 p.m. He will be followed by fellow independent Helen H. S. Chang at 3 p.m. on Thursday.
Corrigan gave his explanation for why Burnaby lost hundreds of rental units while other Metro Vancouver municipalities gained thousands.
He also touted his more than 30 years on council as reason to vote for him once more, saying his experience is the best choice to guide Burnaby.
