A Metro Vancouver resident was relaxing at home but immediately froze after finding out he and his wife won a hefty sum in the B.C. lottery.
Jeffrey Scott and Mari Volkaert scored the $500,000 Extra prize win from the Apr. 15 Lotto 6/49 draw.
They shared the news with their family who didn't believe them at first.
The Langley couple has no specific plans on how they'll spend their winnings but says the windfall "will make our life easier, that's for sure," says Volkaert.
The pair bought the winning ticket at the On the Run in Aldergrove on Fraser Highway and 264 Street.
