What is it?

Vancouver Richpex Stamp Show: the largest stamp collecting show and auction in Western Canada.

Why is it important?

The region’s top stamp dealers will be at the show, so there are many opportunities to cash in on your collection. Or, if you’re a collector, there will be more than 2,500 lots for sale.  Items include covers (empty envelopes with stamps), postcards, stamps and documents.

Highlights include: an 1851 piece of correspondence from the mother of Canadian writer Pauline Johnson, a very rare 1899 registered letter from Canada to Sumatra, and a 1941 Silver Memorial Cross Medal. The pièce de résistance is an extremely rare registered letter from Vancouver to England that customs opened and resealed with three official stamps, each one worth $1,000.

Who will be there?

Organizers are expecting 500 to 1,000 people. Virtually every serious collector in Vancouver and Victoria will be there. Sixteen of the Western Canada’s top stamp dealers will be there.
