NOTE: This story was updated Jan. 22 - both events are now full.
What if you got locked in the library and you couldn’t escape?
Come to think of it, that’s a silly question: You’d read, of course. But assuming that, for some reason, you actually wanted to find your way back into the real world, what then?
The Burnaby Public Library’s Cameron branch is hosting an Escape the Library night on Friday, Feb. 22 - and the night filled up so quickly that a second event was added for Friday, March 1. Both events have now filled up, the library announced on Jan. 22.
Families are invited to put their puzzle-solving skills to work and join in the fun. You’ll have to work your way through the library using book knowledge, library skills and puzzle logic to escape.
The escape night is designed for families with children eight and older – younger siblings are welcome, but participants should note that the puzzles are designed to be challenging.
Registration is required. Sign up in person at the Cameron branch, 9523 Cameron St. (in the Cameron Recreation Complex) or call 604-421-5454.
