Check out the quilt expo at Edmonds Community Centre on March 4. The event is for all quilting buffs, whether you’re a seasoned quilter, a novice or just curious to learn more about the craft. There will be quilters in action as well as an exhibit of quilts. You can even try your hand at a small project to take home. Admission is free. It’s on from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 7433 Edmonds St.

Enjoy a free fashion show at the North Burnaby Neighbourhood House on Saturday, March 4. Designer Yifat Jovani will be showing off work, which is made from natural fabrics and is perfect for women of all shapes and sizes. Join the Burnaby Gogos for Pledge for a Wedge on Sunday, March 5. The event marks the end of the group’s Power of 10 online fundraiser, which aimed to raise $10,000 over the span of one year. The Gogos are inviting the public for some cake and coffee, and if visitors would like to donate a few dollars, that’s welcomed too. The event is on at Deer Lake United Church, 5135 Sperling Ave., from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Experience a workshop on breathing techniques and meditation at the Tommy Douglas library branch, 7311 Kingsway, on March 5 from 3 to 4:15 p.m. Acharya Aman of Yoga Jyoti will lead the group. Build some family fun at the McGill library branch’s Lego club session on March 4. Kids ages four and up are invited to drop by the library at 4595 Albert St. anytime between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. to play with the library’s extensive collection. No registration required.
