Oh, Burnaby, you’ve got some great opportunities to have fun on Canada Day.
There are three official events welcoming you and the whole family to mark the national holiday.
- Edmonds Park and Plaza, 7433 Edmonds St. from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Enjoy family activities, face painting, arts & crafts, amazing multicultural entertainment and so much more. The featured entertainers are Blackthorn, Stephen Scaccia and Rainshadow. This free admission event is opened to everyone.
- Burnaby Village Museum from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Set against the backdrop of a 1920s village, these festivities never go out of style. Visitors will enjoy multicultural family entertainment, including musicians, entertainers, heritage games, face painting, displays and demonstrations. Pose for photos with 1920s roving characters or with members of the Burnaby RCMP dressed in their red serge uniforms.
- Swangard Stadium (Kingsway and Boundary Road) from 5 to 10 p.m. Celebrate the spirit of Canada Day by joining us for a free concert and fireworks display. We're marking Canada's 151st birthday with top-notch performances by Said The Whale, The Boom Booms and DJ Khanvict. Other highlights include activities and exhibitors for the whole family and spectacular fireworks for the grand finale. Admission is free.
