We're continuing with our popular feature - our staff's Top 5 (Or More) Things To Do This Weekend. For this week's feature, we have more free events and a three-day Finnish festival.

1 Get reading with baby during story-time sessions in the McGill library branch every Friday, from 11 to 11: 30 a.m. until Aug. 12. Newborn to pre-walkers are welcome, as are sibling and expecting parents. No registration is required, but space is limited, so come early. Caregivers must attend with children. 2 Get swimming at McPherson Moonlight Madness - a free, Fridaynight outdoor swim for youth 12 to 16 years old. The sessions are every Friday, from 8: 30 to 10: 30 p.m. at 5485 Rumble St., until Aug. 19. There are also snacks and music, and the swim goes on, rain or shine. 3 Get Finnish at the Scandinavian Centre, Friday, July 29 to Sunday, July 31, for a three-day festival celebrating all things Finnish. Some of the highlights include FinnWest dances, Finnish concerts, children's activities, Finnish food and more For information on how to register for tickets, go to www. finnwest2011.com/registration. The Scandinavian Centre is at 6540 Thomas St.

4 Get artsy at Pow! The art festival on at the Japanese Canadian National Museum till Aug. 20. The show is a collection of decades of poster art from the Powell Street Festival in Vancouver, an annual celebration of Japanese Canadian arts, culture and heritage. The Japanese Canadian National Museum is at 6688 Southoaks Cres. Museum hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is by donation.

And, if you want to check out the actual Powell Street Festival, that's on this Saturday and Sunday, from 11: 30 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Vancouver's Oppenheimer Park, at 400 Powell St.

5 Get cheering at the Western Lacrosse Association game as the Burnaby Lakers host Maple Ridge at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre at 7: 45 p.m. Tickets are at the door.
