The Burnaby Potters’ Guild’s annual winter market has become a holiday tradition in Burnaby – and it’s continuing this year in virtual form.

The guild’s winter market has gone online in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Instead of turning out to the Capitol Hill Community Hall to browse local artisans’ wares, shoppers can check out the new market site online. It offers a chance to peruse a wide range of work in a variety of categories: bowls, mugs and cups, pitchers and teapots, décor and display, plates and platters, serving and baking dishes and more.

You can pay for your purchases online, and the items will then be available for curbside pickup in South Burnaby (at 7770 Joffre Ave.) on Saturday, Dec. 12 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The Burnaby Potters’ Guild, first formed in 1977, is a working guild of ceramic artists with a mission to promote the appreciation of clay arts. You can find out more about the group at http://burnabypottersguild.yolasite.com/
