Nightlife: Catch top jazz, blues artists and singer-songwriters at Burnaby's Shadbolt Centre

Hankering to hear live music from some of Canada's top talents?

You don't have to venture far.

A singer with one of the best voices in the country and two of Canada's most cherished songwriters are among the upcoming performers at Shadbolt Centre for the Arts – right here in Burnaby, and an easy jaunt for Metro Vancouver audiences.

On Wednesday, March 16, local audiences will be able to enjoy the unmatched talents of Molly Johnson, known as one of Canada's greatest voices. She and her band will bring a promised "explosion of funk, soul and groove" to the 'Bolt for a live and livestreaming night of jazz.

Just two days later, on March 18, local audiences can enjoy an evening with two of Canada's most recognized songwriters: Suzie Ungerleider and Stephen Fearing.

Then, on Thursday, March 31, it's time for an evening with Ndidi O (Ndidi Onukwulu), Western Canadian Music Awards' Blues Artist of the Year. You can catch her combination of surf music, electric blues, gospel and country in the Studio Theatre.

Tickets for all three live shows are $35 regular, $30 for students and seniors, or $15 for children 12 and under. You can also get $15 tickets for a livestreaming performance to watch from home. All tickets are available online or by calling the box office at 604-205-3000.

Inverso Productions presents Einstein’s quantum physics as interpretive dance in this witty reinterpretation of Spooky Action.
