As June quickly approaches, Burnaby events are ramping up both indoors and outdoors.
Here are some fun activities to look forward to this week:
Gem-Like and Spooky Action
Two productions are premiering at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts this week. Inspired by moments both frustrating and “gem-like” in long-term care, artistic director and choreographer Lesley Telford explores what disappearance feels like in the modern dance performance Gem-Like. Film Spooky Action translates Einstein’s quantum physics into dance.
- When: Wednesday, May 25 to Saturday, May 28
- Where: Shadbolt Centre for the Arts (6450 Deer Lake Ave.)
- Cost: $15-$35, tickets available online
Youth Jam – Live at Deer Lake Gallery
Featuring an open mic for youth of any age and skill level and a concert with students from grades 8 to 12, the Burnaby Arts Council is hosting this fun and creative event to connect the visual art gallery with musical arts.
