Big Brothers is now at the Coquitlam recycling and waste centre

Metro Vancouver recently joined forces with Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver to accept reusable household objects at its United Boulevard Recycling and Waste Centre (995 United Blvd.) by Eaglequest Golf.

You can now donate your gently used clothes, sporting gear and toys for charity at a Coquitlam recycling and waste hub.

Metro Vancouver recently joined forces with Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver to accept reusable household objects at its United Boulevard Recycling and Waste Centre (995 United Blvd.) by Eaglequest Golf.

Representatives from Big Brothers will be on site daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to check each item.

Besides the facility drop-off, Big Brothers also offers a free pickup service from homes as well as donation bins around the community — with the aim to generate revenue through Value Village and keep goods out of the landfill; proceeds support the organization's child and youth mentorship programs around Metro Vancouver.

Items donated to Big Brothers can’t be soiled, torn or unsafe, and they must be suitable for resale.
