Burnaby has its next great dessert shop and it’s a place that will have you over the moon.
Nam Dae Moon Rice Cake recently opened up at 6868 Royal Oak with some truly amazing creations.
The latest is Nam Dae launching a limited-time-only Mother's Day seasonal mochi treat from May 2 – 8 that is available for pre-ordering now.
The Tasty Heart Mochi is inspired by Japanese Ichigo Daikugu, and is featuring a large juicy fresh strawberry and a coat of yummy sweet red bean paste and is finished with an outer layer of mochi!
The heart-shaped mochi layer provides some fun, chewy texture and is a lovely tribute to Mother’s Day celebration. This is the perfect treat to share with mom.
The limited item is sold for $7.99, which includes two of the heart-shaped strawberry mochi balls.
It will be available at both the Burnaby location and the Richmond location.
Founded in 2011 in China, Nam Dae Moon has also been rapidly expanding and franchising around the world in the last few years. It first opened its doors in Canada in December 2019 and now has 3 locations in Canada: North York (Ontario), Richmond (BC), and Burnaby (BC).
Nam Dae Moon was founded by an ethnic Korean-Chinese family in China based on the family's recipes for healthy, chewy Korean rice cakes that are low in sugar. Over the years they have extended the line of products to more delicious treats from Asia such as Daifuku and Mochi Cake Taco. For freshness and quality, everything is handmade in-house throughout the day to ensure the texture is up to the top standards.
