A fashion giant that’s been in the middle of a rapid expansion in Canada despite COVID-19 has now landed in Burnaby.
And it’s the first store for the company in Metro Vancouver.
Following a year in which L.L.Bean enabled millions of customers to become outsiders while also making the indoors more comfortable, the iconic Freeport, Maine-based retailer is set to open its newest brick-and-mortar store in Canada on Nov. 5 in Burnaby.
The new store marks the second L.L.Bean location to open in British Columbia and the fourth store to open in Canada this year.
The 12,541-square-foot store will open at The Amazing Brentwood, a mixed-use development featuring world-class shops, restaurants, public plazas, entertainment, and 6,000-plus new homes.
The development touts indoor/outdoor public space and design, size and scale, connectivity, and diverse retail offerings.
L.L.Bean will offer Burnaby shoppers an assortment of men’s, women’s and kid’s active and casual apparel, outerwear, footwear and gear, paired with the “legendary customer service expected from L.L.Bean,” said a news release.
L.L.Bean at The Amazing Brentwood is the final Canadian new store opening in 2021 for the outdoor retailer, following openings in Dartmouth, N.S., Calgary, Alta., and Victoria, B.C.
“The wellbeing of L.L.Bean customers and employees remains top priority, and the store will follow all local Covid-19 laws to ensure the health and safety of all who visit the retail location,” the company said.
The store opening follows a series of milestones for the Amazing Brentwood, which earlier this year opened its new skywalk connecting the old section of the mall with the new one.
Brentwood also opened its Tables food court, part of dozens of restaurant openings that have taken place or will in the next year.
Brentwood also announced that Earls will open a large new restaurant in the mall.
