More Metro Vancouver store employees reported with coronavirus

Cases have been reported in employees of multiple Vancouver Shoppers Drug Marts

Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases continue to be reported at a variety of Vancouver and Lower Mainland businesses this week.

Today (March 18) cases of the virus have been reported at multiple Shoppers Drug Marts in the City of Vancouver:

  • Shoppers Drug Mart, 586 Granville St.: The last day the team member worked was on March 12.
  • Shoppers Drug Mart, 1295 Seymour St.: The last day the team member worked was on March 11.
  • Shoppers Drug Mart, 748 Burrard St.: The last day the team member worked was on March 11.

Loblaws, the parent company of Shoppers, along with the Real Canadian Superstore and other brands, is reporting cases at the following locations in Metro Vancouver:

  • Shoppers Drug Mart, 12830 96th Ave., Surrey: The last day the team member worked was on March 12.
  • Real Canadian Superstore, 19851 Willowbrook Dr., Langley (2 cases): The last day the team members worked was on March 5 and March 9.

In total Loblaws listed six locations today with employees that had contracted the virus; the sixth was a Real Canadian Superstore in Duncan.

Meanwhile, Sobeys, the parent company of stores like Safeway and Thrifty Foods, is reporting a single new case in Metro Vancouver:

  • Thrifty Foods 310, Edgemont Blvd., North Vancouver: The last day the employee worked was March 12.

None of the above-listed stores are currently listed as public exposure sites by either Vancouver Coastal Health or Fraser Health.
