The vehicle comes to rest after plowing into a traffic light standard.

Police in the area came upon the scene just before 2:30 p.m., according to an emailed Burnaby RCMP statement.

The Pilot's driver, a man in his 80s, was unhurt, but his two passengers, who are in their 70s and 80s, were taken to hospital with minor injuries, according to the police.

The intersection was blocked in all directions for several hours.

The crash also knocked out power in the area as emergency crews dealt with the downed power lines.
