A 23-year-old man has died of injuries from a crash between a car and a "limited speed motorcycle" in Burnaby last month.
The man, who was originally described by police as a cyclist, was crossing MacPherson Avenue at Beresford Street on a scooter-like bike just before noon on Sept. 12 when he was struck by a northbound Volkswagon Jetta, according to police.
He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
On Monday, Burnaby RCMP announced the man had died.
Police said the driver of the Jetta, a 25-year-old woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Speed, alcohol and drugs are not considered factors in the collision, according to police.
Police clarified the man had been riding a limited speed motorcycle, a category of motor vehicle that includes mopeds and motor scooters.
