Fraser Health says a COVID-19 outbreak is declared at an acute care site when at least one staff or patient/resident has been diagnosed with the virus and an investigation indicates that transmission most likely happened in the facility from another patient/resident, visitor or staff.
The NOW has reached out to Fraser Health for more information.
The last outbreak declared at the hospital was on Feb. 24, 2022 and ended on March 3, 2022.
The health authority said 11 cases had been discovered after evidence of transmission was found in a medicine unit.
The emergency department remained open and no other areas of the hospital were impacted.
