South Burnaby’s Riverway Golf Course has received a huge honour.

According to the City of Burnaby, the golf course got top honours from other golfers.

“The City of Burnaby’s Riverway Golf Course has been recently recognized as the top golf course in the Lower Mainland and the eighth favourite in a survey of golf courses across the province by the British Columbia Golf Association (BCGA), in conjunction with its publishing partner Inside Golf,” said a posting on the city’s website. “Considered to be the largest golf course ranking in the province to-date, more than 2,500 BCGA golfers from throughout British Columbia completed this survey.”

BCGA is the governing body of amateur golf in British Columbia, representing some 56,000 members and more than 300 clubs across the province.

Riverway plays up to 7,000-yards long and includes a clubhouse and a 54-stall driving range.
