Want to make sure your child's car or booster seat would be effective during an accident? Burnaby Mounties can help.

Burnaby RCMP is hosting a car- and booster-seat safety clinic Sunday, March 16 at Lougheed mall.

Certified child passenger safety educators, including Burnaby RCMP officers and BCAA staff, will be at the event to work one-on-one with attendees to inspect their current set-up and assist with adjustments and education.

"For a child's car seat or booster seat to be effective it must be installed and used correctly, but parents and caregivers often remark that they can be complicated and intimidating to set up and adjust," stated a news release about the event.

The goal of the one-hour appointments is to make sure car and booster seats are properly installed and adjusted but also to educate attendees so they are comfortable making their own adjustments in the future and as their child grows.

Attendees are encouraged to pre-book appointments online, but some walk-in appointments will also be available.

Burnaby RCMP car and booster seat safety clinic details:

  • Sunday, March 16, 2025
  • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
