The City of Burnaby is asking for the public's input on its plans to update playgrounds at three parks in the city.
The included parks are Squint Lake Park, Halifax Park and Westburn Park.
The park upgrades are scheduled for 2022 and the focuses are on safety, accessibility and inclusively which will enable all children, regardless of ability and their care providers to access the park comfortably and enjoy all amenities.
Planning stages are underway and the city is asking for public feedback on their current use (or non-use) of the playgrounds as well as the type of playground features the public would like added.
Surveys for each park and upgrades are available online until Dec. 5, 2021.
Each survey takes roughly five minutes to complete.
Design, layout and play structure tender will take place in winter of 2022 with construction slated for spring-fall of 2022.
