Burnaby North MP to participate in first-ever virtual Liberal national convention

Terry Beech, MP for Burnaby North—Seymour, will be co-chairing the first-ever virtual Liberal National Convention.

With signs pointing to a pending federal election, the Liberal Party of Canada is hosting a virtual national convention in which one of Burnaby’s Members of Parliament will be co-chairing. 

Announced in a recent press release, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Liberals from across Canada will come together for the first-ever virtual Liberal National Convention, with events taking place from Thursday, April 8, until Saturday, April 10. 

Terry Beech, MP for Burnaby North—Seymour, will be co-chairing the event along with Rachel Bendayan, MP for Outremont, Quebec, the Hon. Mona Fortier, MP for Vanier. Ottawa, and Marci Ien MP for Toronto Centre, Ontario.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming thousands of Canadians online for our 2021 Liberal National Convention, for a one-of-a-kind event focused on delivering support for Canadians and shaping our future for the better,” said Marci Ien. “Together, Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team are ready to keep moving forward with bold action on health, the economy, the environment, equality, and so much more.”

The three days of events will feature a variety of keynote panels and speakers, policy conversations, and innovative training opportunities for Liberal volunteers and supporters.
