Burnaby North-Seymour MP Terry Beech will no longer hold a ministerial portfolio.

"Thank you for all the notes everyone," Beech posted on X, formerly Twitter, after Carney's cabinet unveiling.

"I am honestly Canada's happiest ex-cabinet minister. We did great work at Citizens' Services and that work will continue.

"PM @MarkJCarney and our new cabinet is the right team for the moment, and we are committed to making our government more efficient while continuing to improve services for Canadians."
