Burnaby is set to help residents get rid of their natural Christmas trees this month.
The city will be offering a curbside tree collection between Jan. 9 and 27, with residents asked to leave trees by their regular pickup area anytime during the listed dates, and staff will pick them up as soon as possible.
Those that receive weekly collection services are eligible for the free service.
Trees must be natural only (not artificial) and free of any ornaments, tinsel or lights.
Trees should be put next to the green bin or chopped up and placed into the green bin with a closed lid.
For those that miss the curbside collection, trees can be dropped off at the Eco-Centre during operating hours with proof of residency.
