A woman suspected of murdering a 29-year-old mother of two in Saskatchewan in 2021 was arrested in Burnaby this month.

Sabrina Clark was found dead in a Saskatoon house on Feb. 18, 2021, according the Saskatoon Police Service.

On Oct. 24, Burnaby RCMP was notified a suspect wanted in the case might be living in Burnaby, according to spokesperson Cpl. Mike Kalanj.

He said officers arrested the woman the following day.

"We had an idea of where she was going to be; we arrived, and not long after we got there, she showed up," Kalanj told the NOW.

He said the woman was arrested without incident and taken to Burnaby cells before being turned over to sheriffs for transportation to Saskatchewan.

Kendra Ahenakew, 26, has now been charged with first-degree murder in Clark's death.

Ahenakew made her first court appearance in Saskatoon court Monday.
