The Burnaby RCMP are investigating an early morning home invasion in the Metrotown area.
The incident occurred on Hazel Street, just after midnight on July 13.
According to Burnaby RCMP Cpl. Brenda Gresiuk, the home invasion took place in an apartment and while preliminary indications are that it is not gang-related, it does appear to be targeted.
Members from the Burnaby RCMP serious crime unit spent most of the early morning hours on Wednesday investigating the incident and they had cleared the scene by 10 a.m.
"These types of investigations are very complex and require a great deal of time to work through," said Gresiuk, who added that nobody was seriously hurt in the home invasion.
