Two Burnaby RCMP watch commanders received Police Awards on Nov. 17 at Government House in Victoria.
Both officers were commended for their work in Ridge Meadows, prior to their transfer to Burnaby.
Staff Sgt. Steve Crawford interrupted an assault on a woman that could have gone very bad had Crawford and his now-wife not intervened.
Staff Sgt. Rob Lemon assisted in a horrific crash into a restaurant. Lemon assisted victims and helped in the arrest of the suspect who drove the car.
