Burnaby RCMP seize drugs, cash, high-end vehicles in raid on West Van home

A four-month drug trafficking investigation led to the arrest of a man and woman in West Vancouver last month.

A four-month Burnaby RCMP investigation led to two arrests and the seizure of kilograms of suspected fentanyl and cocaine at a West Vancouver residence last month.

Officers investigating a dial-a-dope operation executed a search warrant at the waterfront property on March 22, according to a news release Tuesday.

"A man and a woman were arrested at the residence," stated the release. "Of particular concern for police was the presence of two children who were also living at the residence."

Along with the fentanyl and cocaine, police seized $40,000 in cash, two high-end vehicles, two Ducati motorcycles and two Sea-Doos.

"People involved in the distribution of these drugs are contributing to the staggering number of deaths over the past decade in this province," Burnaby RCMP Sgt. Randy Mortensen said in the release.
