As temperatures are set to drop to subzero levels next week, the City of Burnaby will open an overnight warming centre at 7320 Buller Ave. on Sunday, Dec. 18 for vulnerable people to take shelter.
The Buller Avenue centre will operate from 8:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily until further notice from the city. Updates can be found on the city's website.
The location was picked for its size and amenities, according to the city's press release.
