Chipotle Mexican Grill has announced it will open at the new City of Lougheed development in Burnaby Tuesday, Jan. 30.
It's Chipotle's 41st store in Canada, the second in Burnaby.
"Given the rising demand for real, fresh food across Canada, our continued growth in the greater Vancouver area is a top priority for our international strategy,” Anat Davidzon, managing director for Chipotle Canada, told the Burnaby NOW in November.
The fast-casual restaurant is hiring, a Chipotle spokesperson told the NOW, noting there are on average 30 jobs per location. Benefits include tuition reimbursement and retirement savings matching.
"Chipotle is committed to Food with Integrity and serves craveable burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, and salads made with real ingredients and no artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives," said spokesperson Annie Grandinger. "Chipotle’s real food is prepared fresh daily, and its restaurants do not feature freezers or can openers."
The first 30 people in line on Tuesday will get complimentary Chipotle Goods merchandise.
Burnaby's first Chipotle location is at Metrotown mall.
