New data from the BC Centre for Disease Control shows little to no movement in positivity and case rates for Burnaby.
The latest numbers are for Nov. 23 to 29, 2021.
While there wasn't many changes in the two areas, case counts in the city continue to fall.
According to the latest Geographic Distribution of COVID-19 by Local Health Area of Case Residence, Burnaby recorded 57 cases from Nov. 21 to 27, 2021.
From Nov. 14 to 20, there were 65 infections reported.
The latest numbers released by the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) equate to a 13% drop.
When it comes to vaccinations, all four quadrants in the city have hit a 90% double vaccination rate for those that are 12 years of age or older.
As of Nov. 29, Southeast Burnaby has joined the northeast, northwest and southwest hitting the milestone, according to the COVID-19 Surveillance Dashboard.
Northwest Burnaby reached the number on October 18, 2021, while Northeast Burnaby hit the mark on October 28, 2021.
As of Dec. 1, the percentages are as follows:
- Northeast Burnaby: 93%
- Northwest Burnaby: 94%
- Southwest Burnaby: 92%
- Southeast Burnaby: 90%
Case rates are new cases per 100,000 people by local health area and community health service area.
