“Best dad ever” opera cake and chocolate cigars from Mon Paris Patisserie can make a great gift for your dad this Father's Day.

Father’s Day is fast approaching and if you haven’t thought about what to get for your dad, fret not — we have you covered.

Here are some Father’s Day sweet treats and desserts you can buy in Burnaby:

Mon Paris Patisserie

The popular and decadent “opera” cake is back for your dapper dad.

Yes, one of Burnaby’s favourite patisseries, Mon Paris Patisserie, will honour Father’s Day with its delicious limited-time opera cake and chocolate cigar creations.

The Father’s Day gift set priced at $62 can be the perfect gift for.

The set includes the six-inch “best dad ever” opera Cake, decorated elegantly in a dapper tuxedo featuring layers of coffee-drenched biscuit and coffee crémeaux topped with dark chocolate mousse (individually priced $45) and chocolate cigars (five in a pack — individually priced $28).

The realistic-looking chocolate cigars are filled with rum-flavoured dark chocolate ganache and can be pre-ordered online at monparis.ca or directly at the store — for purchase only until Sunday, June 18.

Chez Christophe

Burnaby’s local chocolatier is collaborating with one of Burnaby’s favourite award-winning local brewers — Dageraad Brewing — on a collection of Father’s Day gifts this year.

Starting off with a limited-edition “Beeramisu” cake, (made with Dageraad’s Vast Indifference Stout Beer), sponge soaked in coffee, beer-soaked layer with mascarpone mousse and salted caramel coffee mousse with dark chocolate beer ganache.

The cake is available only on June 17 and is priced at $33.95 (serving size 4-5).

Dad loves golf? The “Daddy’s Caddie” chocolate showpiece from Chez Christophe might be the gift to woo your golf-loving parent — made entirely of 63.6% dark and 25.9% white chocolate, with white chocolate crisp pearls. It’s priced at $19.95 per piece.

Along with these limited edition chocolates and cakes, the chocolatier is also bringing a “Dageraad Cube” croissant pastry — filled with caramel beer pastry cream, featuring Dageraad’s 10’ beer. This, much like the cake, will be only available on June 17.

Due to limited quantities, people are encouraged to reserve their orders (online orders close Thursday June 15).

La Forêt

The forest-themed popular café in Burnaby announced a special Father's Day prize on Instagram. On Sunday, June 18, the first 200 fathers to make in-store purchases for dine-in at its Jubilee Avenue location will receive a complimentary red velvet moustache cupcake, featuring a red velvet base and topped with a cream cheese filling.

Decorated with a charming chocolate cookie moustache.

Sweet Tooth Baking and Sprinkles

Local TV celebrity baker Jenna Rawji is whipping up a special treat box for Father’s Day this year, featuring Ferrero Rocher chocolates, freshly baked Oreo brownies, chocolate chunk cookies and gooey caramel macarons.

Rawji, who appeared on CTV’s Cross-Country Cake Off show late last year, creates custom cakes, which can be ordered through her Instagram page.

The treat boxes come in limited quantities and arer offered at $22 per box.

Gabi & Jules

The pie-intensive Burnaby Heights cafe is offering a special "Dad's Dinner & Dessert Kit" for this Father's Day, featuring one savoury ready-to-eat fennel sausage mini pot pie. Sweet inclusions are a Moody beer brownie, made with Moody Ales Vienna Amber Lager, two mini apple bacon crostatas, four cowboy cookies, one spicy nuts with herbs mix and one dad's sweet snack mix (priced at $50).
