Some people in this world carry a gun for person safety and, well, sometimes that’s necessary.
And then there are two men arrested by Burnaby RCMP who had a gun that goes far beyond that requirement.
It was a Glock 19 that had an extended magazine that meant it had 31 rounds ready to fire, according to police.
The gun was seized after Community Response Team officers located an occupied car with stolen licence plates. The officers followed the vehicle until the occupants exited.
Two men were safely arrested and multiple items were seized.
Police also found a box of ammo, which mean that these two had access to even more ammunition.
Along with a pile of cash, the two had drugs on them that included cannabis, stimulants and crystal meth.
Charges are now pending.
