Dump truck crash shuts down Boundary Road on Burnaby-Vancouver border

Police are asking motorists to avoid Boundary Road near Henning Drive after a dump truck crash Monday afternoon.

Police are asking motorists to avoid Boundary Road near Henning Drive after a dump truck crash Monday afternoon.

The truck collided with a lamp post and hydro pole near Myrtle Street and Boundary Road at about 1 p.m., damaging both poles and dislodging wires, according to an emailed Burnaby RCMP statement.

There were no serious injuries, according to police, but Boundary Road northbound near Henning Drive is expected to be closed into the evening "due to crews working in the area as a result of the collision."
