Those interested in learning more about elder abuse in Mandarin will have a chance to do so at a pair of upcoming workshops.
The Burnaby Multicultural Society, at 6255 Nelson Ave., provides a variety of services for newcomers and people in need because of language barriers or lack of information with community resources.
This workshop is aimed at bringing attention to the elderly and caregivers about ways to keep oneself safe from abuse, as well as resources for help.
The workshop is set for Oct. 31 and Nov. 21, from 10: 30 a.m. to noon. Call 604-431-4131 ext. 29.
