Save the date for a fun, free hour-long recreational canoeing or kayaking session.
Burnaby Canoe and Kayak Club is holding an open house on Sunday, June 18, from noon to 5 p.m., where you can test the waters of Burnaby Lake, try out canoeing or kayaking, step into a dragon boat or watch the club’s sprint boats demonstrate a quick, fun race.
In this lesson, you can also try stand-up paddle boarding.
The open house is hosted by Burnaby Canoe and Kayak Club supported by Canoe Kayak BC for people to learn about the opportunities offered by the club — including summer camps for children aged eight and up, group training and team-building opportunities.
Volunteers will be on site for assistance for people trying out various floating options. The open house is open to people of all ages and experience.
The club is located at 6871 Roberts St., Burnaby. For more information, visit website.
