Keep your picnic blankets and lawn chairs handy as a spectacular music party is coming to Burnaby this June.

Bask under the sun sipping beers from local brewers, listening to live music from local bands and savouring delicacies from your favourite food trucks — all for an important cause.

Foodstock 2023, a fundraising festival hosted by Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB) will take place on June 18 at Swangard Stadium, bringing the fundraising festivities to Burnaby for the second year.

The festival, slated be headlined by Juno Award winners Said The Whale, will also have strong lineup of local talents like Fake Shark, Savannah Read, Dani Camacho and Generous Thieves.

The ticketed 19+ event will also feature games from Knotty Games and local vendors including Burnaby’s Dageraad Brewing, New West’s Pacific Breeze Winery, Vancouver’s Luppolo Brewing, Creme Ice Cream, BurgerHolic and more.

Tickets are $30 (plus fees and taxes) and will include a standard-sized beverage (12 oz. beer and mixed liquor or 5 oz. wine).

The proceeds from the event sales will go toward feeding those in need in Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the North Shore. And 50 per cent of all beverage sales and 10 per cent of all food and marketplace sales will be donated to the GVFB.

Visit the GVFB website for more information. Tickets can be purchased here.
