The Burnaby RCMP’s traffic unit is warning the public to stay away from a South Burnaby road due to a crash that has killed at least one person.
Burnaby RCMP tweeted around 7 a.m. about a serious single-vehicle collision on Byrne Road near Meadows Avenue. The crash happened at around 3 a.m.
One person has died and a second has been injured and taken to hospital.
The crash has a stretch of Byrne closed between Marine Way and the Marine Drive/Southridge Drive intersection.
“Byrne Road anticipated to be closed for the next 4-5 hours,” RCMP said.
