First-ever night market coming to Metrotown

The free Burnaby summer kick-off market, featuring several food vendors and family activities, will run from July 4 to 7.

A free night market will be coming to Metrotown from July 4 to 7.

Metropolis at Metrotown is celebrating summer with its first-ever night market. 

The shopping centre has announced the Night Market at the Met, which is free-to-enter, will run from July 4 to 7.

The market will feature vendors such as:

  • Aburi's WA Bagel
  • Bak'd
  • Bon Moment
  • Butcher's Block BBQ
  • Connies Cravings
  • Don Oso
  • Kam Wai Dim Sum
  • La Meza Grill
  • Wakwak Burgers

There will also be numerous family-friendly activities, including a free photobooth, live music, face painting, balloon making and others. 

"We love being a hub for the local community, and providing a gathering space where locals and visitors can enjoy free indoor and outdoor activities — including our first-ever Night Market at the Met, which is a great way for families, couples or individuals to spend a lazy summer afternoon," Metropolis at Metrotown spokesperson Amanda Chung said in a news release. 

The market will be located at the outdoor South Plaza on Central Boulevard, facing the Metrotown SkyTrain Station. 

The market will from 5 to 10 p.m. on July 4, 4 to 10 p.m. on July 5 and 6 and 4 to 8 p.m. on July 7.
