The flooding being seen throughout the province has now hit roads throughout Burnaby.
On its Twitter page, the City of Burnaby says the following roads are closed until further notice:
- Still Creek Drive from Eastbrook to Douglas
- Douglas from Norland to Goring
- Westminster Avenue from Still Creek to Regent Street
- Limited access to Regent Street from Douglass Road
In a separate tweet, the city says crews have been deployed to respond to reports of localized flooding around Burnaby.
Drivers are urged to use caution on the roads, while residents are also asked to do their part to help prevent flooding by clearing catch basins on their streets.
