The annual Realtors Care blanket drive starts today, and runs until Dec. 5 throughout the Lower Mainland, including Burnaby.
Realtors are collecting new or gently used blankets, sleeping bags, warm clothing (such as coats, jeans, pants and sweaters), outer wear (such as gloves, mitts and hats), and new socks and underwear for women, men and children.
Donations can be dropped off at the following real estate offices in Burnaby:
- Coldwell Banker-Love Realty at 5489 Kingsway;
- Prudential Sterling Realty at 207-3355 North Rd.;
- RE/MAX Central offices at 3906 Hastings St. and 1-5050 Kingsway;
- Sutton Centre Realty at 105-3790 Canada Way;
- and Sutton Group-Priority Realty at 7348 Kingsway.
Last year, the blanket drive collected enough blankets and warm clothing for more than 25,000 people in the region, according to the Realtors Care website.
