We now officially know when Vancouver Rise FC will be playing at Swangard Stadium.
The club had announced it was making the stadium the home for its inaugural season on Jan. 15 with club president Sinead King saying the iconic venue is the perfect foundation for the club.
Swangard has been a key part in the Burnaby soccer community having been home to the Vancouver 86ers, Vancouver Whitecaps, Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 and TSS Rovers.
Vancouver Rise FC, which is co-owned by Burnaby soccer icon Christine Sinclair, will play 25 games during the regular season with 12 technical home games.
Its official home opener will be April 16 against Calgary Wild FC, but will be hosted at BC Place as part of the inaugural celebrations.
The first match at Swangard will be on April 24 against Montreal Roses FC with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
