It may be Friday the 13th, but Burnaby commuters will see less scary prices for gas going into this weekend.
GasBuddy.com says the least expensive fuel in the city is $1.73 per litre, as of this publication, Oct. 13, located at Smart Gas along Canada Way.
At a drop of two cents from $1.75 last week, according to the latest data available, it's considered to be one of the cheapest available in all of Metro Vancouver.
But that's also a 23-cent decrease for the outlet in Buckingham Heights from $1.96 per litre last Friday, Oct. 6.

Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, recently told Glacier Media that gas prices were likely to continue this downward trend heading into mid-November.
He pointed to refinery issues in California as the source of Metro Vancouver's sky-high fuel costs. In addition to repairs following a rare tropical storm, many refineries undergo fall maintenance at this time of year.
Burnaby gas stations are averaging $1.75 per litre.
Aldergrove's Chevron station off Fraser Highway is offering $1.69 per litre, which is currently the lowest price in the Lower Mainland.
The cheapest gas in the province is $1.62 per litre at the Tempo in Farmington — roughly 25 km north of Dawson Creek — as well as Costco in Kamloops.
